Casio G-Shock x Monster Children by Marc Llewellyn

“Not all trips go as planned. In fact, most of them get bent out of shape somewhere along the way. And as much as that derailing might grind your gears at the time, more often than not, there’s a sweet, sweet silver lining that invariably - through some kind of divine serendipity - leaves the fondest of memories in its wake.”

Frida's Field by Marc Llewellyn

170A8201.jpg

Just 10 minutes from Bangalow in the Byron Bay Hinterland, Frida’s Field offers contemporary country dining. Their food celebrates the seasons and ecological farming practices.

They are a family of food-lovers; dedicated to showing that food can be grown in a way that not only tastes amazing, but actively reverses climate change.  By integrating trees into agriculture and managing their Angus-Wagyu cattle with holistic principles, they’re sequestering carbon from the atmosphere, building soil health, and fostering biodiversity. By coming onto their farm to enjoy one of their bountiful long-lunches, you’ll be supporting them to keep expanding their ecological farming system and its integration with their farm kitchen.

AUDI by Marc Llewellyn

When @audiaustralia reaches out and asks you to take their incredible new all electric #e-tron car on a fun road trip through the northern rivers hinterland, you simply smile and nod.

Darwin Road Trip by Marc Llewellyn

A little 10 day roady recap, driving from Burleigh up to Darwin. Partly to help my sister move across the country and partly to snap some pics along the way.

A few car hiccups kept us fairly on the main roads but still some epic sights along the way. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a staycation within Australia.

Springbrook Waterfalls by Marc Llewellyn

After a little downfall, I knew there’d be some movement in the waterfalls of the Gold Coast hinterland.

Taking the opportunity to visit the popular Purlingbrook and Natural Bridge waterfalls on a quiet Friday after a little bit of rain and almost no one else in sight.

A Day Out With Douchebags by Marc Llewellyn

A break in the work schedule was the perfect opportunity to test out my new Douchebags camera bag.

In the hinterland of my home town, the Gold Coast, is a national park called Springbrook. Full of bush trails, waterfalls and dense, lush rainforest. Needing a creative release I decided to go shoot some shots in the National Park and hand off some content which I promised to the Douchebags crew.

Pictured here is their Backpack Pro with CIA Pro insert.

Dawn Days At Froggies by Marc Llewellyn

I spent the first hour this morning trying to capture the finer details, movements and textures of waves.

It was my first attempt with a longer lens - Tamron 70-200, f/2.8 - in the water. All sealed up in my Liquid Eye water-housing. I’m very excited to experiment more with this combo.
