An ongoing series of opportunities to merge creative artists with premium apparel.

The aim for Banks Journal Studio is to provide a platform for creativity and facilitate the relationship between the two.

This season they teamed up with Australian/Japanese artist Mia Taninaka, who creates lively paintings that embody elements of magic, mysticism, and spirituality in fine lines and expansive color. Drawing inspiration from ancient mythologies, diverse cultures and deep spiritual practice, Mia’s paintings are interpretations of the realms beyond the surface layers of reality and inspire the viewer to explore the possibilities of subtle awareness.

RVCA Europe - Lady Sliders by Marc Llewellyn

Summer in south-west France! Is there anything better? 16 hours of sunlight, smiling faces, warm water, great food and good vibes.

Being based here for a few weeks armed with my camera gear has been a great opportunity to connect with a photograph some very cool people for various brands. When RVCA Europe hit us up to spend an evening with their local surf team, I jumped at the chance. The waves were horrendous but the smiles were still plastered on all faces and the crew danced on waves until the sun set around 10pm.

5D Mk3 Double Exposure Test by Marc Llewellyn

I've been really enjoying exploring double exposure photography lately.  It's wildly interesting and quite difficult to achieve a well balanced image.  I recently borrowed a Canon 5D mk3 from my Dad which has built in multiple exposure functions.  It's a completely different medium and an art form within itself.  Looking forward to testing it out more on my upcoming trips to India and the Mentawai Islands.
